Great News for Used Clothing - Love Your Clothes Campaign

Found an informative article HERE today on The Guardian (www.theguardian.com) making news of the U.K.'s new "Love Your Clothes" Campaign in an effort to cut 15% of clothing waste by 2020.  This directly relates to Thrift Shop Haute because on this blog you will be inspired and encouraged to give new life to old clothes, and to save those oh-so-IN pieces from the 90s found in thrift shops across the country!  (Seriously, why is anyone paying top dollar for some of this new age, trendy stuff when you can spend a few bucks on the tried and true, higher quality garments from the actual 90s?)

"Clothes cost money. Not getting the most out of them by mixing and matching garments, repairing favoured items, selling them on, or giving to charity shops means we're not getting the most out of that hard earned money, and wasting scarce resources." - Liz Goodwin

If you're interested in showing off some of your fave outfits you have SAVED from your fave thrift store, please submit a photo and quick blurb about your selection (including price if possible) to thriftshophaute@gmail.com to be featured on our blog!

XoXoX,
