Thrifty Finds SFV - San Fernando Valley Edition

Representing the thrifty scene for this beautiful valley I call home (San Fernando Valley just north of Los Angeles), I will be posting for "Thrifty Finds SFV" each month featuring a fave thrift shop or fave outfit from a local thrift shop, etc.  I'm looking forward to exploring and sharing with you some of the treasures I find!

Beginning this adventure for "Thrifty Finds SFV", on Valentine's Day I treated myself to a raging red Nine West purse (at the end of this post) and some new items for my wardrobe at my FAVE local thrift shop +Goodwill Industries International, Inc. of Simi Valley (West).  This well-organized, stocked and clean thrift shop is located @ 530 East Los Angeles Ave. beside the Pep Boys.  Click HERE for the Goodwill of Ventura & Santa Barbara website!

Check out this unique, turquoise top for ONLY $1.99!  I'm not sure I've ever seen a more unique collar.  Dress it up with a classic denim skirt (plenty to choose from at Goodwill) and pumps OR get down-to-earth with your fave jeans or white canvas shorts and sandals.  Seriously, thrifting may take more time and effort but the treasures you will find make it worth your while!

NEXT, we have a soft denim-inspired vest with a collar and big ol' 1990s buttons for all you New Age 90s-inspired addicts out there!  The collar is great for a work-appropriate look, and the neutral gray will look smooth over almost anything, but the best part... it's ONLY $1.99!

This next top is for an acquired taste (aka UNIQUE), and with its' eye-catching shoulders and beautiful blue hue, you wouldn't be able to filter through the rack without freezing on it.  This is a Lucky Brand, like-new, soft and comfy top that would cost you a whopping $2.49!

Given the current OBSESSION with crop tops (and 90s style comeback), this one is a sure thing by "Croquet Club" straight out of 1990... Pay $1.99 at Goodwill for a HIGH QUALITY, excellent condition top, good as new!

Simply for the sake of showing you the variety of treasures you can find thrift shopping, here's a cute, hot pink tank, like-new by Weaver Girl for just $1.99.

Then you have the plethora of random graphic tees with funny, silly, OR stupid sayings and designs.  If you ever have the urge to replenish your t-shirt drawer... why would you ever pay full price when you can stock up at Goodwill for $2.49 each on any given day.  (Plus, THIS Goodwill has special sales days where you can actually get up to HALF OFF certain colored tags.  Please contact the store for details!)

Back to the crop top obsession right now, this long-sleeved, tan top is SOOOO in and incredible.  For just $2.99, it can't  be beat!  Picture this with a flowing, floral maxi or cowgirl up with some tight jeans and sexy boots.

OMG this particular Goodwill location has denim for DAYS!!!  Their skirt selection is out of this world with variety and HIGH-QUALITY, LIKE NEW minis for only $3.49!!!

I LOVE finding Chloe K at thrift shops, and this colorful top with shoulder cut-outs (below) is the second Chloe K top I have purchased from this Goodwill location YAY ($2.49 beats over $30 at Nordstrom!!!) I never encourage wearing horizontal lines, but the colors and style on this shirt make up for the stripes here, and how awesome would it look with one of those denim skirts above?

Now this thrifty find is one of my faves, an amazing dress for summer, no matter what the trends are at the time, this is a tried and true classic look guaranteed to be a hit for years to come. OMG 4th of July, right?!? (So what if it's 4 months early, it's under $5!)  The vertical stripes here will elongate your lower half while the splash of red at the top will draw all eyes upwards to a low V - super flattering!

Finally, my fave find of the day, this spicy red Nine West purse for $7.49!  This Goodwill has a nice selection of purses for all of you bag ladies out there, just take a look behind the cashier at the front of the store.
