30 Day FREE Trial of over 1,000 Styles - Never Step Foot in Another Clothing Store Again!

Looking for a thrifty way to try multiple different styles each month without paying the price OR having to go to a store?  Are you one of the rare women (like me) who doesn't jump at the chance to walk around in circles in malls and stand in long lines waiting for a cashier?

If you're Size 10 to 32, Click Here to See What in the World I'm Talking About!

Gwynie Bee is a clothing rental subscription company for sizes 10-32 where you can treat new (to you) articles of clothing like Netflix movies!  Try it, enjoy it, wear it as many times as you want, then return it when you're ready for another "new" item!

The THRIFTIEST "plan" they have is $35/month, which will get you one new garment at a time.  Granted, if you only get one garment all month, probably not worth it in the world of thrift store budgeting.  However, if you try a new garment each week (like, let's say you're addicted to dresses), that's 4 fun, new outfits to try each month for just $35!

What do you think?  Will you give it a try?  Let us know about your experiences with @Gwynnie Bee!

*Thanks to my lovely Aunt Shari for this recommendation!

2013/2014 Winter "Church & State" Trend-Inspired Pieces UNDER $75

Acknowledged by +Glamour Magazine in their 2013/2014 Trends article HERE , a very unique trend dubbed "Church & State" hit the runways with sullen-faced models dressed in their Sunday best, sometimes nun-like attire.

Since I bet you wouldn't be caught dead in some of the stuff they wore on those runways, I have taken that trendy idea and I'm sharing with you some "Church & State"-inspired looks found at +ShopStyle by POPSUGAR , available to you online for UNDER $75!  Just click on the image to be taken to the website:

Seriously, with deals like this, how could you ever bring yourself to pay more? The power of PATIENCE when it comes to shopping is PRICELESS!

Check out some of my most recent wardrobe additions thanks to +H&M Clearance PLUS Sales over the last month:

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL OF THAT FOR UNDER $130 PLUS TAX- FREE SHIPPING...

That's basically a new wardrobe. My favorite "steals" were the boots (over half off and STILL have the brown version up for sale in clearance!), and the burgundy blazer over half off!

Now I never forget that special man in my life, Mr. Hori :) There are 3, no, 4 reasons for this:
#1. He really needs some new clothes...
#2. It's FUN to surprise him!
#3. It's FUN to shop for gifts!
annnnd #4...It makes spending $130 on myself not sting quite as bad :)

H&M also has some great staples for men ON SALE usually:

All different colors available so I made sure to get multiple tees. The hoodies are great, too!

P.S. +Old Navy & +Piperlime  blog coming up to show you what great deals I got on a slew of tees and polos for him recently!

Random $tuff I've Worn, and How Much it Cost

Hello world, this is me and a comfy little coral, sleeveless dress that I didn't spend a fortune on... I didn't even spend $20 on it...

COMPARE THIS LOOK BELOW!$89 just for the "Stetson" dress alone @Zappos, not to mention the boots that I'm sure throw the total over $200

Seriously... MY coral dress seen at the top was $15 + cowgirl boots $20 + scarf $5 @Ross Dress for Less = under $50 including tax! BOOM! (Not to mention you could wear the scarf every day, you could wear the boots with a million different outfits, and the dress is very versatile- glam it up with some platform heels, etc., wardrobe staples!)

COMPARE THIS LOOK BELOW! Similar royal blue sleeveless BCBG dress @Neiman Marcus LISTS for $268 (on sale for $94.50 right now... Even if I were Sofia Vergara, I would NEVER pay that for that dress!!!)

Here's another similar dress @humblechic NY, more moderately priced but STILL lists for $78, on sale for $50:

Now I know my blue dress pic is not the best pic to show the amazing quality of this beautiful, silky, royal blue dress but it gives you the idea... and this was yet another wonderful @Ross Dress for Less find UNDER $30!!! BAM! (at the time)

Yep, you guessed it! Here's another @Ross Dress for Less steal of a deal. I found this for like $10 in the Juniors shirts section (definitely a tunic or mini-dress that I only wore so scantilly when going out for a night on the town)... paired it with my $25 eBay glossy black high heels that I specifically bought for a Halloween costume and wound up wearing them like ALL the time so they only lasted a couple years, but yeah, dress and heels UNDER $40 OUTFIT... BOOM! haha

Now this was my fave corporate office attire- I know it's a selfy in a public restroom but shhhh don't tell anyone... embarrassing. AMAZING pencil skirt with sexy slit in the back and fancy shmancy suit jacket, actually found this treasure on sale @Macy's UNDER $40, paired it with a nice chiffon blouse that was ALSO on sale @Macy's for like $10, AND some awesome, unique little shoes that I wish had been in this pic, little gray clogg-ish chunk type mid-heels that I found at some little shoe shop in a mall (Soda brand) for literally $10 on sale! They were my fave go-to gray heel until my doggy ate them :( R.I.P. I know I got the pearl bracelets @ Macy's too but actually can not recall how much I've had them for so long. So for the skirt suit, blouse, and awesome shoes you can't see... $60 OUTFIT! BAM!

____________________________________

Now this outfit was FUN! No clue about the shirt as it was technically FREE since I borrowed it for the night, but the dark wash blue jean denim skirt like $15 @Ross, the bangle bracelets and locket necklace were @H&M and; I couldn't have spent over $15 total for both, pretty sure I wore my $10 Reef flippy floppies that were a steal of a deal @ Ross (of course, ALWAYS go to Ross for name brand flip flops!) And I'm sure I could find a similar shirt to that one for $15 or less so this outfit totals UNDER $55! Kazam! (and they are all staples for other wardrobe options!)

____________________________________

Fall boardwalk attire (for me anyways) - name brand white denim skirt under $15 @ Ross, name brand thermal hoodie shirt $7 @ Ross, my fave REEF flip-flops $10 @ Ross... pretty sure I even got those giant sunglasses there that I don't really like anymore, like $8... $40 total! Yuuuuup!

____________________________________

Those fave glossy black eBay heels again ($25), great polka dot dress with a super sexy cris-cross back like $25 @Ross...no recollection on where I got the earrings but I know I didn't spend over $10! Chunky silver bangle bracelet was a gift but I know it's like $5 eBay... so what is that,a $65 outfit! OMG!

Fashionista Shopping Guidelines for your THRIFT STORE BUDGET

With the biggest shopping days of the year just around the corner, I couldn't help but to entertain myself (and hopefully you), with a blog sharing my acquired wisdom of purchasing AWESOME fashion finds on my thrift-store budget.  Now when I call it my thrift-store budget, I don't mean I'm going to show you how to get designer looks for, a couple hundred an outfit... THAT would not be a thrift store budget, and of all the similar blogs out there claiming to show you affordable alternatives, $200 for an outfit is just NOT my idea of affordable.  HOWEVER, what I do intend on doing by creating this kick @$$ blog is showing you how to get those looks for much, much less.

I have been told I have a gift, a special ability to find cheap treasures and put them together.  I'm an avid thrift-store/clearance rack shopper, and honestly have no clue when the last time was, or if I have ever, paid full price for an article of clothing or accessory.

I began blogging on a more serious note with a completely different passion to pursue, and am also in the process of writing a novel on this more activist-driven side of myself, but every now and then you need a little frivolous release (which is best achieved via shopping, or, window shopping in this case).  Also, since I just threw a couple hundred $$$ @H&M (love <3)for a new half of a wardrobe, I have to lay off of clothes shopping at least until the after-Christmas sales, so instead I'm going to virtually pretend-shop for all of you guys.

All that being said... I will share with you my typical guidelines when it comes to clothes.  Keep in mind there are exceptions to every rule, but I find that these guidelines are extremely manageable and will keep a budget-conscious gal such as yourself in a great position bank-account-wise come this Christmas.

THRIFT-STORE BUDGET SHOPAHOLISM GUIDELINES:

Never spend more than:

*$20 on a dressy, office-appropriate top/blouse/shirt

*$14 on a t-shirt, and even then it's either really comfy or has some awesome graphic design on it

*$30 on a pair of jeans... jeans are just so impossible, but I have spent $30 on a pair that was breath-taking, and no, not in the "suck-it-in-and-hold-your-breath" kind of breath-taking way

*$60 on a pair of sexy high heels (seriously, I spent that one time but man they were hottt AND comfy)

*$30 pushes it on a dress, that's usually my cut-off because there are SOOOOOO many awesome dresses out there for like $15-20!  It's hard to spend more than that!

*$25 on a purse

*$40 on a pair of boots

*$15 flippy floppies

*$15 hoodies/cardigans

*$30 jackets & blazers (omg I loooooooove me some blazers, and if you love them like I do, you're going to loooooooooove this blog)

*$20 sweater

*Jewelry, unless it's real diamonds or you're a jewelry snob... I'm not spending more than $15 on any jewelry really... wayyyyyyyy too many cheap, reasonable options on decent websites (and omg eBay)

*$15 skirts/shorts

I'm sure I missed a few things but when it comes to fashion, and shopaholism (guilty), these guidelines really make scanning those pricetags a breeze, especially when online shopping because I can use filters to ONLY show me items under a certain price, etc.  That way I won't risk falling in love with that $50 dress when I could get 2 equally awesome, just different, dresses for the same price!  Again, I do cave occasionally, and I don't play by the rules every time, but if you find you have a problem with your shopaholism, I strongly recommend thrift store shopping, leaving your purse at home and only carrying in with you $20 cash.

All that said, I can hardly wait to post my 1st designer style look alternatives for you guys!  EEEEK! Exciting :)
